On March 25 the School of Transmissions and Informatics of the Italian Army has hosted a conference on the standardization meant as a boost to the technological development. This is a topic whose extent and interest have appeared surprisingly wide even to many of the attending insiders. The event was opened by Major General (IA) Umberto Castelli, School’s Commander, and by Lieutenant General (ItAF, ret.) Pietro Finocchio, AFCEA Rome Chapter’s President. Claudio Buccini, Finmeccanica, Head of Customer Services Solutions and former Chapter’s Vice-President, has introduced the topic, as an expert in this matter, outlining the situation in Europe.
The 31st of January, at the premises of the C4 Command, AFCEA Rome Chapter hosted the first 2013 conference titled “GMSPAZIO – A new perspective”.
The Conference was focused on the important news derived from the availability of the AGI-STK (Analytical Graphics Inc – Sytems ToolKit) new version 10, capable to satisfy Mission Planning, Mission management and Mission Analysis requirements and to address the different needs of Industry and Armed Forces in Modelling & Simulation.
The presentation mainly concentrated on the Free version of the new STK 10, capable to sustains market players and end-users in this peculiar economy crisis moment.
Rome, December 13, Lieutenant General Pietro Finocchio, President of the Rome Chapter, opened the workshop highlighting the purposes of the event: “We started about a year ago and, hopefully, we will bring significant developments in the near future” he said. The goal is to "Do something practical and useful for small and medium-sized companies" and "Build a large network virtually creating a large company" competitive, not only for domestic but also for international markets”.
